Barn Owl, 2024

A favorite subject matter of mine, owls. I don't have a ton of experience with owls in my own life. I study photos, videos and lots of instagram nature photographers. I feel like owls are elusive at times, they hide in plain sight. As an artist, I love their faces. The arch of their brows, their faces always look a bit cranky and I love to sculpt that look.

Body is all wool. Wire, glass and locally foraged driftwood.
