Lobsterman, 2024

I have always wanted to make a lobsterman. This exhibit has allowed me the time to set aside to make some things I have always wanted to make. I added the tin because I felt like he needed to be placed up higher so you can really look at him. The vintage tin influenced me to make the pipe to integrate the tobacco tin with the wool sculpture. The wool on the beard is from a farm in Ashford Massachusetts, Ashford Heights Farm raises Gotland and Leicester Longwool sheep. 

The body of the Lobsterman is 100 % wool. Glass eyes, jute cord, vintage tobacco tin.
